The way it should be
Is what I always strive for
Not the way it is
But there are many
Who would revise history
To keep what they want
Or to justify
Acting in savagery
By twisting the truth
Notes: all sorts of feelings here. Just started The Prairie where Native Americans are coined as “savages”. Why? They weren’t (aren’t) Christian. The outcome? We killed almost all of them. So who are the savages?
Flash forward 200 years. We’re still trying to kill all the non-Christian “savages”.
All that, and my boss also “revised history” to explain my retirement.
